Which claret does Bill Murray favour?

In Ghostbusters II Bill Murray is trying to woo Sigourney Weaver whilst saving New York from ghouls. Sounds a lot like the first Ghostbusters, doesn’t it? Like us she’s heard all his lines before so in order to win her back he needs to pull out all the stops. Cut to super fancy restaurant and there on the table is a distinctive bottle – it’s roughly a bordeaux shape but with sloped shoulders. Yes Bill has chosen Chateau Haut-Brion. Either being a ghostbuster is surprisingly well paid or he really does love her. It certainly seems to be working; she has that sparkle in her eyes.  Sadly a minute later, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and the other chap run in covered in slime. New York needs saving and love will have to wait (again).

Lots of vintages of Chateau Haut-Brion available from Fine & Rare. The 2008 looks good value at about £300 a bottle. The 09 is crazy money.
